In short: this website has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no forms. The only personal information involved is what our web host logs for security, and whatever you choose to send us by email.
Who we are
IONCODEX LTD is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16798601), with its registered office at 127 Calshot Road, Birmingham, B42 2BZ, United Kingdom. We are the controller for the personal information described in this notice.
You can contact us about anything in it at contact@ioncodex.org, or by post at the address above.
This notice covers this website only. Each of our apps has its own privacy notice, available in the app and on its website.
No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies or use similar technologies such as local storage or tracking pixels. It has no analytics, no advertising and no content embedded from other companies: the text and images all come from our own site, and the text is shown in fonts already on your device.
Our web host: GitHub Pages
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. in the United States. When you visit, GitHub records your IP address for security purposes, as it does for every GitHub Pages site. We do not receive these logs and cannot see them.
We use GitHub Pages because we have a legitimate interest in running a website that is reliable and secure. GitHub handles these logs under the GitHub General Privacy Statement. It processes data in the United States and relies on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for transfers from the UK.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use this only to reply and to deal with what you have asked about. We will not add you to a mailing list.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the messages people send us or, if you are asking about working with us, taking the steps you have asked for before a contract.
We do not sell or share your messages, except with the service providers who store our email for us, and where the law requires it.
We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, and delete it within two years of our last contact. If it becomes part of a contract or our business records, we keep it for as long as the law requires us to keep those records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it;
- in some cases, receive it in a format you can take elsewhere.
To use any of these rights, email contact@ioncodex.org. It is free, and we will reply within one month. For the logs GitHub keeps, please contact GitHub directly, as we do not hold them.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at contact@ioncodex.org. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know what we are doing about it.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
